This is why he is healing so well, because of a lot of this...
Here he is in all of his glory with yogurt crusties all over his face!
Guess what he is doing here? Discovering his feet!! He was so fascinated by them and was thrilled that when he moved them up and down it made him bounce. This is a huge deal for him when you consider, he could not see his feet before because of the encephalocele blocking his vision. He was looking at them for the longest time!

joy, joy, joy
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see an update, and happier to know he's having fun with his feet.
You can tell he's happy to be home.
P.S. That penguin on his little suit is too cute. Not cuter than Dominic of course, but cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, so fun to see him so happy--I'm sure your mother's heart is happy too. and so relieved to be home!! Continued prayers for a strong recovery!
ReplyDeleteHe looks fantastic and super happy! I hope this means that all of the withdrawal issues are improving? Your kids look thrilled to have him home. What amazing work on the part of the plastic surgeon team - he is healing beautifully.
ReplyDeletePrayers continue for all of the needs of your family.

This is what I get for purposely trying to stay off of the computer today---the day I stay away is the day you blog!
ReplyDeleteI've been hoping for a update, so I'm so happy to see this! So, so cute and happy to see Dominic discovering his feet! He must be starting to really just "see" everything now, without the bubble in his way. I'm so glad to see him home and happy; this is truly what he needed all along--and back in Bernadette's arms, I see!
Deo Gratias!! God is SO good!! So happy for all of you!
ReplyDeleteMary, thank you for the gift of sharing your heart with all of us. Dominic is such a beautiful gift from God and your Oregon prayer team members are so happy to know that he is home, and will continue to keep you all in our prayers. If I give you some time to get used to being back home and getting Dominic healed, will you think about coming to visit your Aunt Jane in Oregon? Okay, maybe too soon to talk about that! Much love to you all, Terri
ReplyDeleteThese pictures make me so happy! God is good! I pray that his recovery continues to move along.

You are a constant in my thoughts and prayers as you transition into your new caregiver role as well as taking care of your other children & getting back to some normalcy.

ReplyDeletePraise God! Look how far he's come! Thank you so much for sharing these pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! He is so sweet...I love when they find their feet! Mary,it was such a gift to see you on Sunday!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy! My kids keep praying for him! Thanks for the great pictures.
ReplyDeleteHe's home! He can see! He's got messy yogurt on his chin! He found his feet! God is great!
ReplyDeletePlease be very, very gentle with yourself. This is a hard transition for you. It's really hard to go from having a gigantic back-up team to care for Dominic, to now feel like your on call 24/7 to figure up if his little problems are "big" problems that need to get him back to the hospital. It's mentally exhausting. 10x harder than caring for an infant, is right.
Lots of love and prayers.
Thanks so much for the glimpse into your family as sweet Dominic Pio heals! Still praying, so happy for you all!
ReplyDeleteDearest Mary, Mark & kids,
ReplyDeleteTears of joy.
What a beautiful sight.
That gorgeous baby.
What a beautiful smile on Dominic's face. It is so great to see the love, you are right, that is the medicine Dominic needed. Home, family and lots of hugs and kisses.
Thank you for keeping in touch.
lots of love and continued prayers for you all.
God Bless,
The Bone Family

ReplyDeleteToo, too sweet. Thanks for the great pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhile I was on my vacation, I was standing on the shore of the intracoastal waterway and saw a barge go by. The name of the barge was St. Padre Pio. Of course I took that as a sign to pray for Baby Dominic.
ReplyDeleteWe were on vacation last week, and I didn't see your update that you were home...praise God! I can't wait to tell my kids the news at prayer time in the morning. We'll continue to pray for healing and health. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures! God Bless!
