Dominic's story has had so much attention lately. Amazing, all because of a little boy who is loved, loved exactly the way he is, for who he is. Thank you for your words of encouragement, kindness and support, thank you for loving Dominic too!
Dominic's story was broadcast on the Charlie Sykes show this morning and they interviewed Mark about it. You can listen to it here:

**ABCnews got their story up and running. It is well done and unlike the others and a different story than the others. If you are interested there is a photo of Dominic's skull before the surgery from a CT scan. It shows just how large the defect was. Here is the link:**

ReplyDeleteAnyone up to be Dominic's manager? :-)
Don't forget the little people, Dominic!
Mary, I just read your story. Our son has an encephalocele, as well, although not as advanced as Dominic's. His surgery will take place this summer, just a month shy of his 4th birthday. Your story is beautiful and encouraging. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love that Dominic's story is on such a liberal site as Huffington Post. What a witness for the culture of life and love!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that this TRUE story of love and prayers and modern medicine and family is spreading. So many people will benefit from knowing Dominic's story we will not even know all the specifics.
ReplyDeleteWill continue to pray.
Mary & Mark, it's great to hear and see you speak.
My husband just sent me your story because our 2.5 year old had a midline cleft and an encephalocele. His midline cleft lip & palate were not discovered until birth, and the encephalocele was relatively small compared to Dominic's, but he is developing normally aside from hearing loss and articulation delays (and possible loss of sense of smell from neurosurgery). We luckily did not need the cranial bifurcation surgery, but understand the fear in unknown surgery, missing the cleft after surgery, and the unknown in such a rare diagnosis (I have not met anyone else with these conditions yet). Having similar conditions, it may be helpful for you to know my son's development is doing well, and I hope your son continues to thrive as well. May God bless you on your journey.
ReplyDeleteSuch awesome stories!! I always thought the world really needs to hear this story, honoring life, struggle and HOPE. I see a book deal in the future! (I'm serious!!) It warms my heart to see him doing so well. We keep the prayers for strength and healing coming your way.
ReplyDeleteWow!!

How is Dominic handling all the fame?
ReplyDelete: )
I love all this coverage.
Will continue to pray for complete healing.
Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe comments on the Globe article made us so crazy mad! Must pray for pro-abortion minded people!
I love the Irish article headling...making its way to the UK and Ireland? Awesome!
St Michael the Archangel, protect us!
I made the mistake of reading comments on Huff Po. We still pray for Dominic every day and now will shift to protection for your family against spiritual attack. We have rejoiced over your sweet baby's progress. We will keep praying!
ReplyDeleteWell, some people are close-minded with small angry, unhappy hearts. But Dominic was born into a LOVING family and LOVING community.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of the little Haitian boy Dr. Meara operated on previously. It's a chain of hope!
Congratulations! We love you! I hope we can catch up soon!
