Great news again! Don't you love seeing that? As much as you enjoy seeing those words, I enjoy writing them even more! Yesterday was a busy and difficult day again because Dominic had to be NPO (nothing by mouth) for 6 hours, which ended up being 11 hours, oh well, it was an important MRI and test of the cerebral fluid to make sure there is no infection and guess what? Everything lookes very good! Thank you so much for praying for this intention!
I wanted to make sure and mention my thanks again to everyone for EVERYTHING you have done for us. Do you know just how much it means to get your messages of encouragement and love? So many times your insights and verses are exactly what we needed for that moment. All of the cards and gifts, you have no idea how many times Mark and I say, "WOW,my goodness, can you believe it?" All of the meals, the care for the children, I could go on and on... honestly, this is the most memorable and inspiring Christmas/advent we have ever experienced because of all of the love you have shown.
Walking around on this floor, seeing all of the sick children, I feel guilty that we are receiving so much. I think practically every single child here has a situation more dire than ours and my heart breaks for every single one. I feel inspired of course to pray for them and their families, in fact there is a father in the room with me right now breaking down, bawling his eyes out about his son, there is so much suffering here. His son is suffering so much and he cannot take it away. Maybe he is the next prayer intention? Please pray for an 11 year old boy named Matthew. He has bone cancer in the jaw and so his jaw bone was replaced with his leg bone. His father is so grateful for any prayers you can give, he prays for peace for his son.
I want to share a great gift we received last night from a friend Christy Cool. Christy took the time to put Dominic's pictures to music and well, it got both Mark and I bawling. To have such a tribute to our son and family, we are so humbled. Thank you so much Christy for this gift of love!

Philomena and Augustine, part two of the healing team!
A blurry picture of Santa coming to visit and
giving teddy bears.
Dominic loved his bear and promptly fell asleep
next to it.

The video wouldn't let me play it. :-( Maybe I'll try on Dennis's computer.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear of another good update, happy to hear of no leakage! Hooray!
We will pray for continued healing, and for poor Matthew. yes, it's amazing how shocking it can be to hear of others suffering, which just shows how good we have it and how much we take it all for granted. Thanks for letting us know.
BTW, not that this has anything to do with you post, but I had a hard time seeing the word verification so I just typed in anything--and it approved! How's that for lucky typing?!
DeleteOh my goodness! Love, love, love these pictures!! He is looking sooooo good! Love the pics of him reaching up to Philomena and Gus, and his little arm around his teddy bear asleep....just does a heart good see all the wonderful updates. Will add Matthew to our prayers (another very easy name for us to remember!!!) And praying all Dominic reports continue to just get better and better!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news, God is so Good!
ReplyDeleteThe video is definately a tear jerker and what a perfect song! It's a good thing Dominic's Mommy takes such good pictures :)
We will keep Matthew in our prayers as well as everyone you mention here.
God Bless you,
Carrie
I am so happy with all of these good reports!!! I check this blog first thing when I get on the computer. I am so in love with little Domonic and he is in my heart and prayers often throughout the day. I was showing my 3yr old pictures of Dominic (she has also been through medical insanity and major surgery when she was 14M old) and she said she loves Dominic and that his booboos are where he is going to be all better. We are praying for perfect healing, peace, perseverance. God Bless
ReplyDeleteJamie
Please tell Matthew's father I'll be praying for young Matthew. I don't think I have ever prayed so much since Dominic had his surgery.
ReplyDeleteThose look like the best teddy bears ever made.
So happy that the MRI showed no complications.
I look at that picture with Santa Claus, and I see St. Nick.
I see love and giving and sharing when I see Santa Claus.
Oh, my gosh, first of all, PRAISE GOD, THANK YOU GOD!!! So happy there's no infection and no cerebral fluid!! The kids and I were so worried.
ReplyDeleteI love, love love the pictures of Dominic reaching to his brother and sister, so perfect, the love between families and how important it is to these babies. What a blessing large families are, especially in these hard times.
We'll be praying for Matthew and his family. yes, there is so much suffering and so much taken for granted.
We saw Santa the other day at the Children's hospital where we stayed, Simeon also got a stuffed animal, and I got to pick a toy for him (they were really nice toys)
So many companies are so good to the Children's hospitals, it was really neat to see.
God bless you, thank you for the update, we need the updates as much as you need the comments I suspect! --we love Dominic that much.
I couldn't use your link for the video either, but if you go to Youtube, and search for "Dominic Pio" you can watch it there.
ReplyDeleteOff to watch....
OK, totally bawling now...Can I put this video on my blog--if you don't want me to, I won't.
ReplyDeleteYou can put it on your blog, I am so grateful to the woman who made it, I am so excited for Dominic to see it someday when he is older! Thank you Jamie!,,
DeleteMary-we are so thrilled to hear how well Dominic is doing. Your family remains on our mind and in our heart. My husband, Andy is very drawn to St. Pio, and he often looks and me and simply says, "Pray, hope, and don't worry." Your Dominic and your family are such a testimony of faith and love-Christy's video is just a glimpse of it. I truly do believe in my heart that all of these struggles are going to cause many conversions and reversions. Much love!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Therese for all of your love and support throughout this whole journey! God bless your whole family this Christmas!!
DeleteKnow that the prayers continue. I know you would do the same were the situation to be reversed. We are traveling this year, so we will be watching for updates from the road. Merry Christmas!
DeleteSniff, sniff.... Mary, the deep fog has lifted! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo happy the little man is feeling better. From our family to yours, A Merry Christmas!!!!
You, of course, remain in our prayers.
I love all the sibling healing power!!!!!
Merry Christmas to a beautiful and faithful family!
ReplyDeletePraise God! Wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this! Oh, those photos of him grabbing at the kids just grabs my heart! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI will pray and ask our sweet Matthew (cousin who passed away last year) to intercede for this Matthew. Matthew was approximately the same age when his cancer (in his foot) was discovered. I believe with all my heart he will ask for healing for this boy. God bless you all and MERRY MERRY Christmas!!!! Katrina
Look at him asleep next to that bear! Oh my goodness...my heart is melting.
